Kase Abusharkh is a Partner at Bear Equities. Mr. Abusharkh has 18 years of experience in the acquisition, finance, and development of commercial real estate. Most recently, Mr. Abusharkh has served as the Chief Investment Officer for a publicly registered non-traded REIT, American Realty Capital- Retail Centers of America, Inc. in New York City. During his 3-year tenure as Chief Investment Officer, he helped successfully complete the $1.2 billion equity raise and over saw the acquisition of over $1 billion worth of multi-tenant retail shopping center space. Mr. Abusharkh concluded his time at American Realty Capital- Retail Centers of America, Inc. by successfully seeing through its merger with American Finance Trust Inc. to create a $4 billion diversified REIT. Along with his brother, Jacob, Mr. Abusharkh founded the Kase, Jacob and Jeannine Abusharkh Endowment, which provides a 4-year scholarship to a deserving student touched by illness at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory. Mr. Abusharkh also supports kidney transplantation research through the Kase, Jeannine and Jacob Abusharkh Endowment in association with Stanford University Hospital’s Department of Surgery in the School of Medicine, which helps to improve clinical outcomes of kidney transplantation. Mr. Abusharkh serves as a member of the Board of Regents of Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory.
Jacob Abusharkh is a Partner of Bear Equities. Born and raised in San Francisco, Jacob studied Finance at the University of San Francisco and completed his degree early to begin his career in commercial real estate. In 2006, Mr. Abusharkh and his brother, Kase Abusharkh, started their market leading net leased real estate brokerage, The Kase Group. Since its inception, Mr. Abusharkh and The Kase Group have been involved in the brokerage of over $3 billion in assets and over 5,000,000 square feet of real estate. With 15 years of commercial real estate experience, Mr. Abusharkh specializes in net lease, but has also dealt with other asset classes of investment properties. In recent years, along with his brother Kase, Mr. Abusharkh founded the Kase, Jeannine, and Jacob Abusharkh Fund at Stanford Medicine, which supports future research on kidney transplantation, a cause held close to the members of the Abusharkh Family, as well as a student tuition endowment fund at their alma mater, Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep in San Francisco. Mr. Abusharkh lives in Hillsborough, California with his wife Grace who works in Museum Education for the City of Palo Alto’s Art Center and their two sons, Jack and Luke.
